Day 9 24rd October Berti creek to Eliot falls
Beautiful camping spot, a little off track, so quiet and lovely.

It was even chilly in the early morning!
Disaster however awaited, checking the wheels and nuts, noticed a bulge in the side wall on front tyre.
Bugger!
Not only did it need to be changed, it is prudent to stick to relatively easy tracks as we now have no spare.
Our off road adventure is over 😩 sort of....... plenty of dirt tracks to kind of keep us happy tho.
Back to the creek to contemplate all this and to cool off after the change.

Headed back out to PDR (peninsular development road), rather rough tracks, then off to fruit bat falls .
Very nice for a swim and some lunch but no camping so the plan was always to head onto Elliot and twin falls
The stream from Fruit bat continues to Elliot.
The water comes from a a number of springs from a deep reservoir seeps through the sandstone.
A very pleasant night as we ate the last of the fish we caught at Weipa.
Three meals for 11 people!
So by the look of your picture Liz,Stu changed the tire on your car while Daz and 2 other blokes passed comment, gave free advice, narrated.... just watched him !!!
